Well great pitching is being wasted and I have lost count of our record it's either 0-6 or 0-7 as of June 18 game.
Losing pitcher Bob James had a 1 walk o strikeout performance on the 18th in a 17-3 loss.
Seems like we cannot score any runs as Friday the 15th the team lost 12-0 and 14-4 previous game was a 5-6 loss and unbearable fielfirst two games were 15-11 or was it 17-11 and 25-7 or 25-8.
I see little hitting, horrible running, zero speed, unbearable fielding, attitudes, depression, and changes to be made in strategy.
I can only guage my performance by my hitting, fielding and most of all Pitching.
Hitting wise I am 5 OF 14 I believe.
0-3/0-3/2-2/2-2/1-2/0-2
fielding has been pretty good, with one ball knocked out of my hand by my knee while fielding and not going for a easy out and trying to throw a guy out at second which was a mistake.
But handling pop ups, one line shot and several ground balls and breaking to backup (save when I am done for like tonight in the last inning after time in and time out bungling.
Pitching walks /Strikeouts per game...
1/2 had a good game pitching windy
6/2 second inning was bad, 3 guys walked, might have walked 5!
windy and we lost 25-to 7or8.
2/2 (2) other unofficial walks to hdcp boy (didn't score) solid game
walked in 2nd run of game in 6th.
3/3 two in second inning walked , very good game
3/1 one guy stood there and drew all 3 walks
1/1got ticked in the last inning and should have never walked him
So hitting has been ok 3 good outings 3 bad,
fielding above avg.
and pitching I would say 5 very good to good and one which had one bad inning and a blow out against a very good team and rated below avg. but in windy conditions and we drew several walks in that game.
Team play though has been spotty.
Infield play has been fairly good.
Starting at 3rd base
Terry "NO'HIT" Saltsman can field hot shots, long as he doesn't have to move laterally, frontwards or backwards.
Shortstop TIM ROD has not found a hitting groove and won't popping long fly balls to oufield, play at short has been very good and heady, needs to check mouth and let things go.
2nd base had been covered fairly well by Landon "Big Caps Son "Caplinger solid defense and knowing where to play (didn't play in double header).
1st base has been spotty, Carl Killer Killion has hit very poorly and should be moved down the order and dropping a ball a game just about is tough to understand, mechanics need o be worked on and hitting even more so, he will start to pitch next game as BIG CAP is out of twon on the 25th of June.
Battery of Big Cap, Ace player and oldest player on the team, and his battery mates Joe "r" has had a few licks at the plate but base running has been below avg., but plate play has been ok .
Big D.C. has not hit well but hasn't run any better.
Plate play has been good with good throws back to pitcher.
Utility player Rick SAINT has had some solid backup play but suffers mechanics and knowing where to be when. Rick has a good arm to play short or 3rd and second should give him more time to react, 1st is even possible since he can catch and fielding at 1st is easier than 3rd by far.
Ricks attitude needs to be brought down in and by himself , he cannot yell at others and then not play with his mind and make mistakes over and over and jump others and have a tude.
He also is not a outfielder and he knows it and first base may be a excellent choice for him. Batting has not been to good.
Rik does have a arm, it needs controlled and must hold ball to hard or releases to late and not smooth.
Outfield
Oh my God!
LF Ryan Fritch, play has been good and hitting, has some good range, looks ackward at times, but really only one bad drop (18th game) . Solid influence in outfield.
RCF Herman SSSSSSSSSS. Has been pretty good hitter, covers range and catches most balls, had a booboo 18th game, but did forgte to run on one play in a game. overall he is a positive player who hasn't had time to practice but need some.
LCF Kenny C. has hit poorly if at all, cannot keep feet still at plate, jumps at ball and stikes out regularly, has hit ability, but moves into ball and not wait for it. Kfouls and batting to high, was dropped in last game. Fighting for 1st place on Kout list with Killer.
RF Joey Salty, missed out of lineup due to job and he is a wimp.
Could run, could hit well, covered field well and should have been either SCF or solid right fielder. He was the potential Roberto Clemente of this team, but doesn't know Spanish.
RF Mike Horn, great Basketball player, looks like he is out of element in baseball, but needed and has made some plays.
Hitting is unpredictable. Needs practice and hearing more balls come off bat and gage hitting. No arm known anyway.
others playing or practicing outfield
Landy is not a true outfield, but could maybe play a SCF.
Joe "r", getting to old for it, only right field , catcher and maybe 2nd, though Landy has played well there.
Infield.
BIG CAP can play 1st base and in a pinch could 2nd.
Rick for sure.
Pitchers backing up
Carl gets his chance, but Terry may be better, Pastor hurries ptiches and pitches erratic.
I would try Terry, but Carl will get the nod for next game. No one else can play third but JOEY, but he won't get a chance with no outfielders and none anywa with his job.
